Looking for something to do this weekend? The 36th annual International Sportsmen’s Exposition kicks off today and runs through Jan. 20 at Denver’s Colorado Convention Center. The Rocky Mountain region’s largest outdoor adventure, travel, fishing and hunting show, the ISE gathers local, regional and national outdoor experts and more than 500 exhibiting companies. There will be three theaters, two giant casting ponds, a trout-filled 40-foot aquarium tank, sporting-dog arena and a 9,000-square-foot archery range with 3-D-, computer-controlled pop-up targets. Plus, a Youth Sports Fair, presented by Colorado Parks & Wildlife, will feature a live raptor display, fly-casting lessons, catch-and-release fishing pond and archery range — all free, with gear and guides provided.
Show hours are from noon to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Jan. 20. Admission is $15 for adults; youths younger than 16 are admitted free, as are active members of U.S. armed forces with military identification. For more information, visit www.SportsExpos.com.
