How Meeting Planners Use Technology to Plan Events – and How the Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel is Accommodating Their Needs

At the Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel, we understand the importance of staying connected. Whether you’re planning a smaller group presentation or an international broadcast with thousands of attendees, our meeting spaces are equipped with a wide array of technology services with knowledgeable technicians staffed on site to assist with your data, voice and audio visual needs.

One specific area we’re really excited about is our digitally interactive signage (the largest deployment in the industry, in fact!) from Denver-based Four Winds Interactive. This signage includes 17, 40-inch and 32-inch LCD touch screens, which are installed in public spaces (lobbies and common areas) as well as all meeting rooms throughout the Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel. The signs allow clients to display meeting event time and location information, which is pulled real-time from our Sales and Catering event management system. Along with event information, the signs also feature an adjacent “Map It” button for easy directions as well as hotel amenity information and other guest conveniences such as real-time Denver International Airport flight information and breaking news.

Clients can easily customize the signs with their event images or logos as well as upload and play media in all popular formats including PowerPoint, Flash, QuickTime, Media Player and Adobe PDF. Finally, for added guest convenience, the digital reader boards incorporate a unique paging system that allows meeting planners to page hotel staff for immediate assistance with set-up, food and beverage, and other logistics.

Stay tuned for a mobile meeting app that will allow groups to view their meeting schedules on their smart phones!
