Back in March, our parent company unveiled some pretty hefty changes to the Starwood Preferred Guest loyalty program, making membership even more appealing – and a hands-down no-brainer. It’s free, easy to sign up, and the more you stay with us, the more FREE STUFF you get. Perks like room upgrades, flexible check-in / checkout times, complimentary food, drinks and in-room Internet access, and swag.
That being said, we occasionally meet guests who aren’t already enrolled in the SPG Program (hey, we know how easy it is to get distracted with that little thing called “life”). So to make sure everyone has access to these great perks, Starwood has an internal campaign – “Lights, Camera, Enroll!” – to incentivize front desk agents to invite guests to join the program if they aren’t already members upon check-in. The campaign has been in place since the SPG Program was introduced a decade ago, and this year the Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel is proud to have the top winner at any Starwood property in North America.
Jene Crawford, a five-year employee, enrolled more guests in the SPG Program than any other front-desk agent at Starwood properties across North America during the January to December 2011 timeframe. With each enrollment, she earned SPG points, which she can redeem on flights, hotel stays and more.
“We are excited for Jene to be awarded this honor, and proud that her hard work and dedication was recognized by Starwood. We have an amazing staff of front desk agents at the Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel, and their collective efforts have allowed us achieve our program goals,” said Charles James, Director of Front Office for the Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel.
Said Jene, “Determination is the key when it comes to enrolling guests in the Starwood Preferred Guest Program. Long term loyalty is what we strive to achieve.”
Couldn’t have said it better ourselves!
(PS - Jene was also recently promoted to front desk supervisor – congrats Jene!)
