Events / Starwood Leadership Conference Hosted in Downtown Denver
The Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel hosted Starwood’s first-ever North America Division Food and beverage Leadership Conference, “Recipe to Win,” in March. The property welcomed more than 750 individuals from 150 Starwood brand hotels and 100 Starwood franchise properties in addition to senior leadership, executive chefs and directors of food and beverage, operations, catering and convention services. Among the highlights was a panel discussion featuring celebrity guests, four general assemblies, six breakout sessions, numerous tradeshow events featuring food and beverage concepts, and a downtown block party showcasing Denver’s culinary traditions, six food trucks and headlining entertainment.

Chuck Schuringa has been appointed hotel manager by the 1,225-room Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel and is responsible for overseeing daily operations and guest experiences at Colorado’s largest hotel. He has 20 years experience in the hotel industry, most recently as director of operations at The Westin Denver.
