Hotels Use Craft Beers, Tastings to Attract Business

At the Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel, we like to think we know a thing or two about beer. After all, craft brewing is a way of life in Denver – the city alone is home to 10 nationally ranked and award-winning breweries, is ranked number one in the nation for beer production per capita, and is ranked second nationally in the number of breweries per capita. Not to mention Colorado was recently ranked by The Beer Institute as number one in terms of gross beer production – 111 breweries producing over 23.3 million barrels. Nothing to sneeze at!

So when we read about hotels using craft beers and tastings to attract business, we applauded their efforts to get into the brewing business. And for beer drinkers who live in Denver and who are in town for a few days for business or pleasure, the Yard House at the Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel is the perfect spot to try beers from around the world, Colorado included.

If beer’s not your thing, we recently launched premium wine tasting social hours at our 15/fifty Lounge. Developed in partnership with Wine Spectator magazine, these social hours offer guests an opportunity to relax, socialize and sample top-rated wines while learning about renowned wineries from around the world. Stop by weekdays from 5:00 to7:00 p.m. and let us know what you think!
